Family Business for more than 20 years!!!

The Italian connection is going strong in Neath with a second generation at the helm of one of South Wales' traditional cafe's. The Aprea dynasty dates back more than 20 years. With four young children, Pasquale Aprea and his wife, Angela, took a massive gamble when they launched the Cosy Cafe back in 1981. Now, two of their sons, Giovanni and Antonio, have invested great time and effort to bring the daytime cafe into the 21st century and create a romantic Italian restaurant for the evenings.

Pasquale and Angela are taking a well-earned retirement, but Pasquale still pops in almost every day to help out. Originally from the Naples area, he moved to Llansamlet when he was 10, and met Angela on a return trip to Italy in 1970, before returning to South Wales with his new wife.

As the oldest of seven children, Pasquale, always wanted to own his own business, and together they run the successful cafe in Neath's town centre for move than twenty years.

These days, with the next generation of the Aprea family at the helm, Cafe di Napoli brings a unique dining out experience. Modern Italian surroundings, 64-seat restaurant, skilled Italian head chef, fashionable interior, the Aprea dynasty will continue for many years to come.
